Privacy

We at Good Measures understand the importance of your privacy. By accessing and using our websites, services, and applications, including mobile applications, all of which are governed by this Website Privacy Policy, you agree that you have read and understand this Website Privacy Policy and that you accept and consent to the practices that are described here.

Collection of Personal Information

Good Measures collects information, including personally identifiable information, about individual users through Good Measures’ sites, services, applications and its registered dietitians. This may occur in various ways, such as when information is supplied voluntarily by users, when it is publicly available, and when (and if) it is supplied on users’ behalf by an employer, health plan, or another company sponsoring a user’s participation with Good Measures. When Good Measures collects personal information directly from users to, for example, provide customized content or to inform them of new features and services, users may decline to provide the requested information, although that may make it impossible for Good Measures to provide certain features or services.

Personal information that Good Measures may collect includes a user’s name, email address, home address, phone number, certain demographic information such as age and gender, precise location information, physical and medical data, diet and exercise information, and information about users’ interest in and use of certain content, products, and services.

Good Measures’ sites, services, and applications may allow users to submit information about other people, for activities such as sharing content. Good Measures may collect and use information about individuals or groups with which a user is associated or shares content, such as the recipient’s name, contact information, and information about the recipient’s interest in and use of various content, products, and services.

Use and Disclosure of Personal Information

Good Measures uses and discloses the personal information of its users in accordance with the Good Measures Notice of Privacy Practices.

Third-Party Privacy Policies

Please be aware that Good Measures provides links to or allows interactions with Web sites or other online or mobile services or applications that may collect personal information about you. The privacy and data collection policies of these third party sites and services are independent of this Privacy Policy. Good Measures assumes no responsibility or liability for the privacy and data collection policies of these third parties and urges users to review the privacy policies of any third party site, service, or application.

Users’ Sharing Information with Others

Good Measures may provide users with the opportunity to share personal information with others whom they choose, or to make certain information publicly accessible. If a user elects to share personal information or make it public, either independently or through a feature that Good Measures makes available, the user should bear in mind that Good Measures cannot control what others do with that personal information. Users should share or make personal information public only if they are comfortable doing so, and only with those whom they trust. Good Measures is not responsible for any disclosure of a user’s personal information that may result from a user’s electing to make the information available to others, whether through Good Measures or otherwise.

IP Addresses and Other Technical Data

Good Measures also collects, uses, and shares aggregate or other information that does not personally identify individual users. Good Measures may collect IP addresses and mobile device data (together with other types of standard or technical information such as browser type, operating system, site pages visited, referring and exit pages, and the dates and times of the visits and other technical data and information about your computer, device, system and application software, and peripherals, and use of the site, service, and applications) to conduct system support and administration; to report aggregate information to advertisers and other third parties; to conduct site analysis; to develop, provide, support, protect, and improve products and services, and to operate its business. Good Measures generally does not associate IP addresses with records containing personal information. However, Good Measures may use IP addresses or mobile device data to identify users who do not comply with Good Measures’ in-house rules or terms of service, and to identify users who threaten our service, site, applications, customers or others.

Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

Good Measures may employ cookie technology to allow users to move more quickly through our site. Cookies are small text files a Web site can use to recognize repeat users and facilitate the user’s ongoing access to and use of the site. If a user does not want information collected through the use of cookies, there is a simple procedure in most Web browsers that allows the user to deny or accept the cookie feature. When a user turns on a tracking preference, the browser or application may send a message to websites requesting that they do or do not track the user. At this time, we take no actions in response to any “do not track” settings or messages. Please note that cookies may be necessary to provide the user with certain features available as part of Good Measures’ services.

There are other types of tracking technologies that Good Measures may use, such as web beacons, clear gif technology, and action tags. Good Measures’ service providers also may use similar technologies to gather data related to a user’s use of the sites, services, and applications.

Security

Good Measures has security measures in place designed to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Users should be aware that they are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of their login, passwords, and account information. However, Good Measures cannot provide assurance that information is fully secure, and users should be aware that inadvertent breaches and cyber attacks can occur.

Children

Good Measures does not presently provide services directed to or suitable for children under the age of 18. Children under the age of 13 should not use Good Measures’ services at all. Children between the ages of 13 and 18 may use Good Measures only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
